Simpson Strong-Tie CB44-R 4x4 Column Base (CB44HDG)

The CB column base is engineered to secure posts to concrete foundations, accommodating various sizes of lumber, glulam, and engineered wood products. This base can be installed either by casting it in place or setting it into wet concrete, with the base plate’s bottom sitting flush against the concrete to ensure complete post bearing. The CB is an excellent choice for columns needing high structural strength and durability.

Material

• Strap: 7-gauge for CB4x, CB5x, CB6x; 3-gauge for CB7x and larger
• Base: 7-gauge for CB4x to CB9x; 3-gauge for CB10x

Finish

• Models CB44, CB46, CB48, CB66, CB68, and CB610 are galvanized; all other CB models come in Simpson Strong-Tie gray paint or hot-dip galvanized (HDG). Select models are also available in HDG, stainless steel, or black powder coat. (For powder-coated models, use CBxxPC as the model number.)

• Certain CB models are available in rough sizes; add the suffix “R” to the standard model number.
