Q: Can I get mineral wool insulation for IECC climate zone 5 or 6?

A: Yes. Under IECC 2021 and 2024 (Table R402.1.3), a wood-framed wall in zones 5 and 6 can use R-20 cavity + R-5 continuous insulation, R-13 cavity + R-10 continuous insulation, or R-20 continuous insulation alone. R-5 is 1.5" of RigiBoard 80 (R-6.3). R-10 is 3" (R-12.6). Check the edition your jurisdiction adopted, and contact sales@warehoos.com for help with thickness.

Q: Is mineral wool a good choice for exterior continuous insulation?

A: It depends on the assembly and the priorities. Mineral wool is non-combustible (ASTM E136), drains and is vapour-open, which suits fire-conscious and moisture-managed assemblies.

Q: How long is Warehoos's mineral wool lead time?

A: We confirm stock and lead time when you order. Transit time is quoted with your order.

Q: Can architects request a quote for a spec project?

A: Yes. Email specs to sales@warehoos.com with quantities and project location. We reply with pricing, lead time, and a USMCA-eligibility check.
